Last night, thanks to Yur Altezza, the question of the design for this site's banner came up. The one that was up there before was something I threw together in about 45 minutes in Paint just to have something in that spot, so there is certainly room for improvement. Acting on the suggestions presented in FC Chat last night, I spent a couple of hours after maintenance started playing around with various graphics programs and batched together the one that's up there as I write this – with 3D rendered fire text on a background of fireworks over Uldah (which Yur suggested). We now have a couple of other suggestions hanging out in the Forums at the following thread:

you can't use a animated one on guild work prolly, but you need to start thinking about making your own site, and get off this… service
