Wanted to tell everyone first of all that I'm sorry for not being on so much, work is eating my soul. But, with school starting back, my hours are being dropped back a bit, and ill have more time to play.
Now, onto business.
Discussion was brought up at the last meeting about the possibility of making the Astral Flames into a gaming community. For those who are new to the gaming scene, a gaming community is a group of gamers that play all sorts of games together. This would bring the following into play:
FLAME will remain based in FFXIV. It is the game we started in, and will likely remain the game that most of us play.
FLAME will begin expansion into other games. In most cases, we will be sticking to multiplayer games with a decent sized player base. If the game has a guild/free company system, we will create a group that way. Proposed games include League of Legends, Destiny, and The Elder Scrolls Online.
Myself and Sadie Iris will begin to build a new, personalized website. Guildwork is great for FFXIV, but if we are going to expand into other games, we need functionality across the board. Look for FLAME's new website in a few months.
FLAME will have a need for global officers/masters. These people will be in charge of the community as a whole, across all games. That being said, we need people to head our operations into these new games. I will stay based in FFXIV and League of Legends, but (for now) we need people to create groups for Destiny and ESO.
This does NOT mean we are leaving FFXIV. not by a long shot. As stated above, FFXIV will continue to be FLAME's main game. We are just using this opportunity to expand our community across many levels, and make new friends.
