Week 2

Welcome to Week 2 of the FLAME newsletter! We've got a lot to discuss, so let's get started…

Regarding the Name Change

Quite a few people have been curious over our FC's changed name. To put it basically, it was a homage to our old free company. Wanting to make a name for ourselves now, we, the masters decided it was in the best interest of the company to change the name to Astral Flames. Therefore, we still keep our SUPER COOL tag, and can develop an identity of our own, instead of hovering in someone's shadow.

Welcoming SKY!

Over the past week, our FC has gained a few members from our sister FC, SKY. SKY and FLAME were both born from the same free company, and both contained many of us that were really good friends before the split. FLAME was started by the masters we have now, and SKY was started by Boss Clock and Wat Even. SKY's leadership decided it was in its best interest to combine our FCs, so we could all work together toward a common goal, and share an FC with our friends again. Make sure to introduce yourself to our new members, and make them feel welcome!

Finances

At this moment in time, the FC is taking in a decent amount of gil, and is putting it to good use in paying back a loan from Lynx Syntac (he literally let us use like 40 mil on the spot) that allowed us to obtain our house. We only owe him around 12 mil still. So if you see Lynx in game, make sure to thank him for the awesome house! (He also provided a LOT of the cool furnishings inside the house. i.e: the Lord of Levin Lamp, the Throne, etc.)

Slepnir Recruitment Raffle
This raffle will end Nov 30th! Make sure to get your entries in!
Quick run-down:
Donate 10k to the FC chest for one entry (up to 10 entries allowed this way)
Recruit someone for 4 entries (unlimited entries this way)
Grand Prize is the Slepnir mount, or a $20 MogStation equivalent!

Secret Santa (Starts Dec 1)
FLAME will be hosting a Secret Santa for the holiday season this year! To enter, you will give an officer/master a list of 3 items (limit 200k) that you would like for the holidays this year. We will then shuffle all entries, and hand out lists to everyone who entered. Buy one thing off the list for that person, and give it to them on the day we decide to have the final event. Give a gift and get a gift. HOORAY HOLIDAY SPIRIT!

50/50 Raffle (Starts Jan 1)
In January, you will have a chance to win BIG. Buy tickets (10k each, limit 10) for a chance to win half the collected pot at the end of the month. We will draw randomly from all entries. For example, if we collect 1 mil for the raffle, the winner will take home 500k, and the other 500k goes to the FC. Depending on how many entries we have, we may make second and third prizes in this event.
